Floor-standing purifiers are inefficient due to low intake and exhaust vents, often below mouth and nose level. This risks not fully capturing expelled droplets, potentially reintroducing them into the air. FLAT uses the Coanda effect (airflow adhesion effect) by intaking air from the bottom and redistributing clean air through the top vent. This is all done at mouth and nose height, filtering suspended particles effectively and circulating clean air upward to prevent lower-level pollutants from re-entering the breathing zone.
